Because everyone here will laugh about this. This is fake, but I think the two guys definately capture the "essence" of RPGing.

A secret I'll share... the dragon shirt the guy is wearing... I had that shirt in junior high :-/

Write 20 random facts about yourself then tag the same amount of people as minutes it takes you to write the facts. If you're tagged its your turn.

1. As much as I bitch about living in So Cal, I like it down here.
2. I can't ask where anything is in a store. Ever. I need to find it for myself.
3. I have to take my glasses and watch off when I eat.
4. I get sick when I think of being alone forever.
5. I try and surround myself with friends so I don't have to be alone. I'm afraid of myself when I'm alone.
6. I enjoy Gilmore Girls.
7. Watching a woman cry turns me on. It's such a flow of raw emotions.
8. I've hurt every single person I've ever loved.
9. I crave Cold Stone's Peanut Butter Perfection waaaaayy too often.
10. I'm too kinky.
11. I often fantasize about how I'll die. Car crash? Old age? Heart disease?
12. I want children.
13. I'm not a good person. But I'm trying to change that.
14. I miss being able to be mean to people at work.
15. I pretend I know more than I do.
16. When I sleep, I cuddle with a pillow or blanket and pretend it's "her".
17. I hate doughnuts. And I'm not a fan of cake or brownies either.
18. Everyone in my family has an addictive personality, and sometimes I drink way too much. I'm worried about becoming an alcoholic.
19. My chest has been hurting for a few months now. A small, constant ache. Sometimes it's a sharp, piercing pain. I haven't gone to the doctor because I'm afraid. Heart disease at an early age runs in my family.
20. I only wear black socks.

God I love Deathcab for Cutie.

I once knew a girl in the years of my youth
With eyes like the summer, all beauty and truth
But in the morning I fled, left a note and it read
Someday you will be loved

And I cannot pretend that I felt any regret
'Cause each broken heart will eventually mend
Just as the blood runs red down the needle and thread
Someday you will be loved

You'll be loved you'll be loved
Like you never have known
And the memories of me will seem more like bad dreams
Just a series of blurs; like I never occurred
And someday you will be loved.

You may feel alone when you're falling asleep
And every time tears roll down your cheeks
But I know your heart belongs to someone you've yet to meet
And someday you will be loved

Whew!

Well, so I kinda, sorta, maybe lost a 4ft long iguana in the apartment earlier today.

I spent an hour looking to no avail. I have no idea where he went.

He's back now. I hope he had fun.

So I had a rocking good ol' panic attack last night. First in awhile. Felt like my chest was going to explode. Good times.

Fuck if I know where it came from.

Interesting. It's been awhile since I had one of those. The prozac's been keeping them at by for a few months now. Last night I just kinda lost it. *shrug*

Oh, and I'm visiting Nor Cal for a few days starting tomorrow. So I will be dropping from existence again 'til Saturday.

Sara can you still drive me to the aiport tomorrow night? If not I got someone else who'll drive. kthnxbye.

I have not physically "seen" the newest edition to the Zieres' yet, but I will soon.

Congradulations Charles and Michele!

I appologize to everyone for dropping off of the face of the planet. As everyone knows Sara and I are going through a split, and she's hanging out at the BHN a lot. I've chosen to keep a bit of distance for her sake. As soon as things are no longer strained between us (and I do think her and i will be friends, and I hope she thinks so too) I'll be in there like swimwear.... well, maybe not exactly like swimwear but you get the jist, no?

I guess I just want everyone to know that I'm not packing up and taking off. You all are some really good friends of mine and I'm not dropping anyone.

Plus, really who else can I play D&D with? :)

Meat in a tube?

Being a carnivore isn’t always easy. Lots of people disagree with eating bits of animals, some for religious reasons, others for emotional ones, and yet more out of fear of environmental contamination or other hazards resulting from industrialized animal husbandry. It is also true that many more resources are consumed in the production of energy through livestock when compared to that derived from plants. This week sees the announcement of a technique that could one day alleviate those concerns from many, only to be replaced by a whole new load.

Advances in cell culture, working towards the days of being able to build replacement organs in vitro, will also make possible the idea of artificially grown meats, complete with beneficial levels of just the right kind of fatty acid, or a custom flavor or shape, along with no cute offspring staring on with large, sad eyes while mummy gets (and gives us) the chop. Just how happy people will be to eat meat that grew from a pod or was seeded in a matrix remains to be seen. Resistance to genetically modified crops is already strong, but when McDonald's introduces the "cruelty free bioMcNugget," in a range of exciting colors and flavors, there may well be enough people who are fine with the idea for it to become widespread. Sometimes being a foodie and scientist can be so conflicting…

Words to live by:

You need only two tools. WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Ok, now I do understand where PETA comes from. I understand animal rights and I understand "fur is murder". I've lost a lot of respect for PETA after they spray painted people's furs and all sorts of other vigilante crap they pull. The final straw were the pamphlets they printed out a few years ago and gave them to SCHOOL children that said "your mom's a murderer if she wears fur" and told the kids not to leave their pets with their mom's for fear of them being turned into pelts.

And now this. PETA is laughable to me now.

Damn this six song thing!

Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
Reflection - Tool
Come Together - The Beatles
Wishing on A Star - Rose Royce
If You Want Me To Stay - Sly and the Family Stone
Tribute - Tenasious D

This thing's a bitch. Do you know how many songs are my favorite?! But this is a pretty good representation of what I feel are my six favorite songs. At the moment at least. There's always new music to get into.

Mmm... new White Stripes f'er instance.

1. How many books do you own?

Not enough.

2) The last book I bought?

Actually, I think it was The Rise and Fall of the Thrid Reich by William Shirer. Little light reading.

3) The last book I read?

Currently tring to read The Rise and Fall but I think that last book I actually finished was one of the Dan Brown books. Digital Fortress maybe?

4) 5 books (&/or series) that mean a lot to me? OR books I just like!

Any of Neil Gaimen's books (including comics).
The Watchmen (comic series) by Allan Moore
Confessions by St. Thomas Aquinas
The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy (all 5 books) by Mr. Douglas Adams R.I.P.
The Shannara Series by Terry Brooks (first fantasy I ever really read)

5) Your turn!
